As as the capstone project for my Secure Software Development course through the University of Ottawa I built a web application that connects non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with cyber professionals for hiring purposes. This app features a range of functionalities designed to enhance the user experience and streamline the hiring process.
One of the key features of the app is its user registration process, which includes email verification and a forgot password functionality. This ensures that user accounts are secure and protected from unauthorized access. The app also incorporates role-based access control, allowing users to access only the features that are relevant to their account type.
The app's availability status feature allows users to update their availability and inform potential employers of their current status. This makes it easier for NGOs to find the right candidate for their needs. Additionally, the app includes an email communication feature that enables companies to contact users directly via email.
Built using HTML, CSS, and PHP, this web application is not only functional and user-friendly, but also visually appealing. The app's clean and modern design ensures that users can easily navigate through the site and quickly find what they are looking for.
Overall, I am proud of this web application and believe that it demonstrates the early skills I learned as a web developer and my commitment to creating applications that meet the needs of both users and businesses. While this app isn't active online anywhere the code for it is available in my github linked above. As as the capstone project for my Secure Software Development course through the University of Ottawa I built a web application that connects organizations with cyber professionals for hiring purposes.
